A Travel Nurse and her House-Boy

A Travel Nurse and her House-Boy

May 2014

May was not nearly as busy as April, but we still got out and about.  On the 4th,  Lane and I and the pups all loaded up and headed north for the day.  We went straight north till we got to the Red River, which is the border between Texas and Oklahoma.  We arrived at Lake Texoma (Texas + Oklahoma), which is one of the largest reservoirs in the US.  The lake is formed by Denison Dam on the Red River at the confluence of the Red River and the Washita River. The dam was constructed by the US Army Corp of Engineers between 1939 and 1944, to serve as both flood control and hydro-electric power generation.

Taking the girls down to the shore so they can explore.  They loved it.

Cooling off

The gang.
On the trip back we finally got to see some long horn cattle.
On the 21st we went back to the Dallas Arboretum to see the flowers in bloom.  Lots of color this time.

Still enjoying our time in Texas.
